What Are All On 4 Dental Implants?
All On 4 dental implants consist of four fixtures, which support both the top and bottom rows of your new teeth. Both the fixtures and the replacement teeth themselves are made in a laboratory at the same facility where you undergo the procedure. The fixtures are titanium and the teeth are made up of premium materials such as porcelain, acrylic, and titanium.
During the first procedure, your surgeon will insert two fixtures into the front of your arch and two into the back with a 45º tilt. You'll then receive a prosthesis to wear while your fixtures bond to your jawbone. After approximately six months, you'll return to the clinic and receive your permanent teeth. You're welcome to brush them and go out to eat with them directly after the procedure is complete.
The Benefits of All On 4 Implants
There are many benefits to receiving All On 4 implants over dentures or traditional implants. This is because All On 4 has many distinct qualities, including their:
- Custom design: Teeth aren't one-size-fits-all. That's why we use laboratory processes to customise your implants to suit the shape and size of your mouth and jaw. We can also customise aspects of the implant, like their colour, to meet your cosmetic preferences.
- Natural appearance: Our implants are made partly of monolithic zirconia and porcelain. This is what gives them their aesthetically appealing and natural-looking appearance.
- Durability: Our durable All On 4 implants are permanent and built to last for decades to come. This is considerably longer than traditional implants, which have to be replaced between 5 and 15 years on average.
- Affordability: The permanence of All On 4 implants makes them a wise long-term investment. They tend to be more affordable in the long run than other implants that have to be replaced periodically.
Another great feature of All On 4 implants is that they're a versatile solution for people with a variety of dental issues, including those with atrophic jaws. However, there are some things that can disqualify you as a candidate for All On 4. This includes taking certain medications, smoking, and teeth grinding. We encourage you to speak with one of our clinicians for more information.
